Good machine overall
I’ve had the machine a couple weeks and love it so far. Easy to use. My only complaint is that there must be sensors in it, to tell the machine if clothes are dry or not. That would be great for energy saving, but when trying to dry a thick blanket, it was frustrating. I had to start the drying process at least 5 times, and the machine would stop after 5 minutes. It could be user error, however.
Hi, Pattie. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG Washer. It’s great to hear that you’re enjoying the ease of use, and your feedback about drying thicker items like blankets is helpful. LG dryers are equipped with sensor dry technology designed to optimize energy use and prevent over-drying, though heavier fabrics may require manual cycle adjustments. For reference, you can explore LG dryer settings and care tips here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/products/dryers. To allow us to properly investigate the details of your specific product model and to see if there is anything we can do to assist with this sensor drying issue being encountered, please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com if you need further assistance. ^James

amazing washer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the set and i love all the features it offers. size load is perfect and it has more than enough wash options. it has an app we can use. it's quiet. clothes seem much more cleaner than with the other brands we had. i had issues with customer service with the prior brand we had so we finally swapped when we bought our first home. we are a military family and have had to move quite a bit and in some moves we'd had to buy a new washer and dryer that works for base housing or wherever we've had to rent. the look of this is amazing and modern. music is pleasant and it's everything we can ask for in a dryer

Amazing features
I did buy this a month ago. Our old washer was over 20 years old and the difference is amazing. There are so many things we can do with the settings. We have so much more control over our wash, the time has reduced and the machine tells me how long the cycle we set up will take. The wash seems to tumble more and everything seems cleaner.

Amazing, make sure it is level!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To set the stage I had a top load washer for almost 2 decades so this was a mighty big step up, felt like Flintstones to Jetsons! I have been astounded at how clean the laundry gets! This machine is absolutely fantastic! I know there are a lot of options to choose from for the settings, and I have tried some, but usually I put clothes and detergent in, and let the washer decide the cycle, water temp, everything! It is kind of fun, I push the button to start and wait for the machine to figure out what it wants to do to best get the contents clean, there are flashing lights on the console while this is happening, when it is done it puts a number up of how long the cycle will tape, usually 30 minutes! I sometimes feel like I am at a slot machine, watching the flashing lights hoping it will say 30 minutes, not longer. It feels silly and fun. I currently foster 6 cats from the local no kill shelter. There are also 3 house cats. I end up doing a lot of laundry. I have found that everything that I have washed in this machine from clothes to shoes comes out absolutely clean, smelling like nothing, which is how I like it, I have fibromyalgia and my sense of smell can be very sensitive. Every thing that I have washed in this washer, some of which has gone in smelling like some rather old dirt, it all comes out smelling clean. I have found that it has to be level!!! Not just by using your smart phone, which only tests in the area the phone is on, not the entire surface.

QuietWashes well.Too controlling on preset cycles
The actual washer is superb. It is quiet. There are multiple cycles from which to choose and I've not owned it long enough to try them all. My major FRUSTRATION is with the LG company. There is NO detailed guide (Complete owner's manual) included with the washer. There is a booklet entitled Owner's Manual WASHING MACHINE that provides in depth detail r/t installation, owner maintenance, and owner troubleshooting. If the owner chooses to have MORE information regarding what EACH CYCLE does, then the owner must go to the website and either read it online OR print the information. I am NOT an individual who prefers to have my laundry accomplished WITHOUT first knowing what the cycles entail. I believe LG could afford to provide that data with the packet of data that is sealed in plastic and is inside the drum. I live in an area where there is excellent internet access. NOT ALL AREAS of the US have FAST and CONSISTENT internet coverage ALL the time. And not all folks wish to stop and go to the internet to get washing cycle info. Previously, LG provided a laminated summary sheet that was helpful. I have a LG top loader is another area of the house that has that sheet. Surely, LG could afford to provide that with appliances.

Bummed for cost
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first front loader washer. I’ve always preferred top loader but this one came with the house. And it’s exactly why I never purchased a front loader before. It smells of mildew constantly. So I have to leave the door open and dry it out which makes my house smell. Also I love that it uses less water, but I have noticed it also doesn’t get my whites as clean. When washing our king size comforter it also kicked off the power. This surprised me because this washer is bigger and rice as expensive as my old washer which had no problem washing a king size comforter. Apart from all those cons, it’s pretty and I love all the different options for cycles. If you’re all about the looks of your washer and it’s features this is the washer for you, but if you don’t care go with a cheaper top loader!
Hi, thanks for taking the time to post your review for your 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Washer. Regarding the mildew smell, when was the last time you performed the tub clean cycle? We'd recommend you perform the tub clean maintenance cycle as often as recommended by your owner's manual to prevent this type of smell. Should you have further questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to us! You can see our contact options here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/contact. It would be our pleasure to further assist! ^Chris

Loving it so far!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have enjoyed the 2 month experience with the new washer. I must confess, I have not read the manual or taken advantage of all the features, like Wi-Fi which I don’t anticipate using, but so far everything has been intuitive. One feature I miss from my previous washer is the slow spin and reverse spin after washing to help take out the wrinkles from the high speed drying.

Great purchase!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this washer for a little over a month and so far I'm very pleased. I love the color, the control panel, the height, and the storage underneath. I know there are features I won't ever use, like "Bright Whites" and "Delay Wash" but I do like that there's the "Tub Clean" feature, which is running now. The tub is huge, so it easily accommodates loads, which I'm sure is extremely helpful for large families, there's just 2 of us and 2 dogs. But, I must say, I can clean the dog's bedding, towels, etc. in fewer loads then I used to have to run. I'm also very pleased with how much water is removed during the spin cycle, such a complete difference from my old machine. It makes a huge difference when trying to dry towels. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Quiet and efficient
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replacement unit from one I had for over 15 years. Runs very smooth and quiet. At first I wasn't sure about the Wi-Fi features didn't seem like I really needed it for a washing machine but it's nice that gives you updates if you're using too much soap when the load is done.. The Price is the same from 15 years ago.
