[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worst machine ever. Have it for 15 months. A few months ago started getting errors. A few weeks ago could not get rid of OE error. Service came, replaced the part and 2 weeks later,here we are again.same errors. Had my drain and electricity checked and all ok. Machine is a lemon! No one to talk to at LG

I've had this machine for 7 weeks. It washes very well, is reasonably quiet, and uses very little detergent. I'm using about 3/4 of a tablespoon on most loads to keep the suds down. Initially there was a strong chemical smell but that has finally dissipated. I always leave the door and the detergent drawer open when the machine is not is use. It replaces a similar LG that was 12 years old and failing.

I knew I wanted a reliable brand, but was in between LG and GE. After doing months of research, I decided to go with the LG. It’s slimmer and more modern than the GE model I was considering. When they came to install the set, the installer could not say enough good things about the set which made me more comfortable with my decision. Excitedly I put load, after load, after load in the washer and was impressed with its performance. Not only did my clothes look cleaner, the washer is considerably more quite than my last one. Even with the laundry door open and the washer going, I can barely hear it running (I live in a small, apartment). I have not used all of the features, but the bright white and sanitize cycles have amazed me. Sturdy, nice looking and well performing, I’m happy with my purchase.

I bought the washer and dryer. And they work great. I had the same brand before and they last lasted years. But moved and needed to get another set there is only one thing I find inferior and that’s the fact there’s no light in the washing machine yet they’ve put one in the dryer. I’ve never had a check and uneven load in the dryer, but I have in the washer and without a light. It’s really difficult to see inside what’s going on.

After reading countless reviews of different brands and models I settled on LG wm4000hwa. It replaces a 11 year old Maytag that still worked, but figured it would eventually have issues & parts would be hard to come by. So enter LG. So far it's quiet & gets a FULL load done in 29 minutes with the Turbo wash activated. That is automatic in most cycles. It does have a slight "hum" from time to time during cycles, but nothing loud. No issues with spinning, leaving water in drum After completing cycle, or getting off balance. There have been some that mentioned that , but I have not encountered that. Clothes are really spun dry & are pretty stuck to the drum, but easy to remove. Give them a shake, put in dryer & no wrinkles. Cycle modifiers are available on many of the pre set's, but some can't be done unless you change the type of cycle. The full manual that it came does a very good job of explaining all that, so read it. Any other ? Can easily be found on the web. I haven't used the wifi, as I really don't need that. I got this model for the Turbo wash feature. Being notified on my smartphone about it wash process is not important for me. And I have a different dryer so it wouldn't communicate with it anyway. Now for the information panel. It's not back-lit but it doesn't take long to figure out the options & modifiers. If you touch it , it does cycle with a light showing you what modifiers you are selecting. IE: you touch the water temperature to cycle through the tap cold, warm & hot & etc. It then lites up to the 1 you want for that cycle which will differ from the pre program cycle you choose, IF that modifier is available for that cycle. So, in conclusion- this is so far a very nice washer with many features & I got it on a black Friday sale that is going on at most big box stores, local appliance stores & at LG website also. They price match. It's way faster than my old front loader, gets clothes clean, spins well & fast washes. My on recommendation would be that the entire panel be back-lit so you could easily see all the choices for modifiers. Am happy with the purchase. Never had LG before, but no complaints here. High Consumer reports, so went for it.

I couldn't be happier, finally a washer that cleans clothing well! I like the app as well that reminds me when cycles are done since I have the tendency to forgot when I start a load. Only minus is I wish I had more paper information about wash cycles, need the app to get more details.

We purchased this product to replace an older Maytag washer. The new LG works very well and was relatively easy to learn how to operate. The washer is exceptionally quiet and offers many different wash options. Overall, the LG works very well, is gentle on clothing, and gets clothing very clean.

We bought this and it does not completely drain all the water out even at high speed spin. We had it replaced and the second one has the exact same problem. This is our 3rd LG front load washer we bought over the years and the other two had no problem draining the water out. we now are waiting for a repair man to come to see what the problem is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my washer for a year and there is always a surprise 1st you have to DRAIN IT or it will do it itself all over your floor, 2nd the MOLD around the rim of the door is RIDICULOUS, constant cleaning after each use NO I'll do it later! 3rd it SHAKES the FOUNDATION to the house causing STRUCTUAL DAMAGE! 4th Now it has ERROzr codes IE if it isn't the water valve then it could be water pressure not enough for the washer to do it's job. Like really I didn't buy it on clearance or a second store "USED". At this time I should have went with a TOP LOADER! Learned from my MISTAKE.
