[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never used front load machines so I was anxious that we had made the right decision for our new laundry/mudroom space. So far, I am pleased. It handled winter coats, heavy towels, gentle clothes and everything in between. It used less detergent and still cleaned completely. I will need to get used to the drying of the machine at the end of the wash day and I am not looking forward to emptying the backflow.

We bought this washer one month ago and realized the softener dispenser was not working. LG responded to our concerns by checking the unit over the phone with the help of a representative. A technician followed up with a visit a few days later and fixed the issue in less than 30 minutes. The technician showed us a couple of wrong internal connections that caused the malfunction. Understandably, we were very frustrated as we had to put our time into solving a problem with a brand-new product that should've gone through rigorous quality controls. LG needs to pay attention to this. In the end, the warranty coverage worked. I will think twice in the future to buy an LG appliance.

I had to use my neighbors washer while mine was broken and fell in love with how clean our clothes came out. My husband even commented on the difference in his work clothes I actually wanted to haul my laundry to and from my neighbors even when my washer was fixed. I finally bought my own and we love how clean our clothes get and how intelligent this machine is. I expect to have this for a LONG time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer and matching dryer were upgrades to a pair of front-loaders that were 15 years old and no longer operating in an ideal fashion. I was going to choose the 9000 series Signature pair but our laundry room doesn't have enough space to fit larger machines. As it is with the 4000 series, we now have larger total capacity in frames that are the same size as the outgoing old pair. Washing performance is excellent. At first we thought the washer wasn't actually saturating or soaking some clothes because after spin, some articles were almost completely dry. It far exceeds the performance of the old machine, including with athletic wear (non-cotton shirts, for example) and the body odor or sweat smells being locked into the fabric - this does not happen with our new washer. The Turbo feature is pretty cool, allowing for a much shorter wash cycle with no decrease in performance. The tub and detergent drawers seem mold resistant and anything but flimsy, and having a tub clean reminder and special cycle is a big bonus. Along with the matching dryer, this washer has problems with presets and customizability. I would like to be able to change the water temp, spin speed, addition of steam, etc., and most of the presets do not allow this. It is most frustrating since almost all clothes and sheets now do not recommend anything over cold/warm water, or in the case of drying, anything over low heat. For LG to lock their presets into only certain water temps, or certain heat levels in the dryer, greatly reduces the usefulness and value of the presets on both machines. Overall, a huge upgrade to 15-year-old front loader technology, and a high-quality machine, for sure. I just wish I could do more of what I want on any given preset or cycle setting.

The fact that they are both so big and yet small enough to fit in our extremely small laundry room made this a easy selection. Both are replacing 15 year old Kenmore Elite machines. Love the LG ThinQ smart phone features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this washer for a little over a month and so far I'm very pleased. I love the color, the control panel, the height, and the storage underneath. I know there are features I won't ever use, like "Bright Whites" and "Delay Wash" but I do like that there's the "Tub Clean" feature, which is running now. The tub is huge, so it easily accommodates loads, which I'm sure is extremely helpful for large families, there's just 2 of us and 2 dogs. But, I must say, I can clean the dog's bedding, towels, etc. in fewer loads then I used to have to run. I'm also very pleased with how much water is removed during the spin cycle, such a complete difference from my old machine. It makes a huge difference when trying to dry towels. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I assuem there is a way to get my cell phone to make a sound when the washer is complete. If I look it dsys the unit is off, but I haven't figured out how to eet my phone to make an audio sound when the washer is complete. Also, it would be great if I could swap the door opening since my dryer is on the left side, so the door is in the way when transferring the washer load to the dryer, which can swap the door
