[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this just over two months ago and it's been a good washing machine with one caveat...it almost presses wrinkles into what is being washed. Pros: The wifi/app is nice. I appreciate the notification when loads are done rather than remembering to set a timer elsewhere or listening for the tone It absolutely gets things cleaner than even the last LG washer we had (for 12 years!) It's generally pretty quiet It's larger than the last one and handled a King comforter without issue. Cons: We have noticed that we have to use the absolute lowest spin cycle or even a hand steamer can't always get the wrinkles out. I have to trust that the steam function works because it's not obvious when it's happening. Setting up the wifi took 4 attempts which I think is excessive. I'm a network nerd and it isn't obvious which MAC address is the washer and which is the dryer for me to set a static IP address (this is a personal issue that I just have to deal with, most people won't care). Overall it's a good machine.

We bought this last month. Except for a marginally useful manual and some poor functional design decisions, it is working fine. The manual, including the longer online version, is not well written. For instance, the description of the available wash cycles is not particularly informative. For each wash cycle it just gives a table that lists the detail settings which you can already see on the front panel. It doesn't tell you how it does the actual cycle (like agitation characteristics, etc.). Also, the online manual mentions cycle selections which don't seem to be available on the front panel (like Waterproof, Bulky/Large, and Jumbo). We wanted to wash some waterproof items but didn't know how to do that since Waterproof is not an available cycle selection and the manual fails to list what the characteristics of a Waterproof cycle are. I checked the available Downloadable cycles (using the app) but Waterproof is not one of the available options. Also, the ability to download only a single cycle seems like an unreasonable restrictive design decision on the part of LG.

So glad we did. This set is so quiet, even on the pedestal. Unless I am in laundry room, I can’t even hear it. No vibrations, washes like a dream, and spins clothes almost dry. Washes blankets, etc. like a dream, too.

The seal part is back ordered and no one knows when it will be available, rendering my brand new washer unusable for an undetermined amount of time. Very frustrating.

I really like the cold wash option. my older washer didn't seem to be cleaning my work out clothes well enough. with this washer my workout clothes are no problem and come out clean and smelling nice. for its small size, it can wash a big load of sheets. so happy i got it. also it looks so nice in my washing room

It has several nice features that my old one did not have and it works great. The machine is quiet and powerful on the spin cycle. The reviews I had read on this machine were right on the money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my LG washer a little over a month ago, replacing an almost forty year old machine, and I couldn’t be happier. The new machine has so many different cycles that it is hard to say which I like best. Each one is tailored to a particular type of load, and everything comes out beautifully. I like the way the detergent and softener is added, and how the machine handles everything during the cycles. The water usage is almost negligible, compared with the old machine, and the clothes come out much cleaner. Further, the machine spins the load so much faster, extracting more water from the clothes, with the result that drying time is reduced. The machine has a huge drum, so it can hold more clothes per load than before. And the machine will, if you have downloaded the LG app, tell you when the load is finished. (This is particularly helpful, since the machine is very quiet.) Overall, just an outstanding machine, which I am extremely happy with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my new LG washer and dryer installed last week by a friendly and very efficient installer. I absolutely love my new washer, it’s very quiet, easy to operate, with lots of programs, and washes much cleaner than my former top loader.

I purchased the washer 2 weeks ago and am very happy with it. I had LG washers & dryers in the past so I knew what I was getting. It gets clothes very clean and the 10-year warranty is a testimony to their reliability. The only disappointment is that I can't connect it to the ThinQ app because the network must be 2.4GHz and my network is 5GHz. Hopefully LG will have a firmware update for that before long

Upon delivery and installation, everything seemed fine until my wife came home to use it - it would not balance, and the front seal was twisted out of shape. This necessitated a repair call from an LG certified repairman in our area. He discovered a simple issue with an interior spring being disconnected somehow. After the repair was made, washer is working perfectly through all cycles. It's a workhorse!
