After a delayed delivery and receptor needed parts to the dryer, the dryer was hooked up and put to work. The central sttings easy and the volume of the dryer works for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a great experience from shopping on the webpage to purchase to delivery to now enjoying using it. It isn't fancy but means less can go wrong. It is quiet, no vibration, runs great, and my clothes are dry and quicker than our old dryer.

Simple and Super

lg.com

At present I have no regrets selecting this product, a matter of fact I'm very happy with my choice. It's pretty quiet while drying a load of clothing, which is a plus.

Good Choice

This is a great low cost large capacity dryer. It dries clothes quickly. It's quiet. Two complaints. You cannot silence the stupid tune at the end of the cycle. And, there is no light when you open the door. Come on LG. You can do better.

Dries clothes fast

Drys fine. Issues with electric cord installation was the hole to put in the strain bracket was too small. The dryer show the vent restriction error even though I replaced the vent hose with a minimal length magnetic one.

Vent restriction error too sensitive

This dryer does not perform the way the advertising leads you to expect. From the very first loads, it became clear that the moisture‑sensing system does not behave as described. The dryer repeatedly shuts off before all clothes are dry even when all clothes have very similar thicknesses. When the sensor touches one single dry item it will end the entire cycle while other items remain damp, and this happens consistently across normal household loads.

We tried every setting, every cycle type, and every reasonable variation in how we loaded the machine, and the behavior never changed. The dryer simply does not complete a full load on its own. You end up restarting cycles again and again just to finish what should have been a straightforward drying job. For a major appliance, this is a fundamental performance problem.

The way the sensor system operates creates a real, everyday frustration that buyers should be aware of. The advertising suggests a dryer that automatically adjusts and finishes loads accurately, but that is not what happens in regular use. People should not rely on those claims when deciding whether this model will meet their needs. Based on our experience, it does not deliver the performance described, and I would not choose this model again.

Not the Dryer the Advertising Promises

This was the worst experience I have ever had with any purchase that I have made in my 60 years. The dryer did not function properly yawls repair people could not fix it and y'all decided to refund my money. I have been in contact with your presidential liaison team for the past three months, trying to get a refund check and everybody keeps passing the book and I have still not received my refund.

Worst purchase ever made

Since it was delivered the sensor in the dryer has not functioned as it should. Even when put on Very dry it will frequently leave them damp. LG sent a service man, he stood over it for 30 minutes, declared all worked right and left. It still does not dry well on any of the preset settings, Normal, Permanent press, etc. He said we just have to use timed dry!!! Then why is there a sensor??? Not happy with LG or the dryer.

Poor Drying

The dryer works about as well as a dryer should. However, the settings are really weird. When you use the ‘sensor dry' settings like ‘normal, heavy duty, delicates, etc you are unable to change the heat setting at all. That leaves the manual dry time options of ‘60, 40, and 20 minutes (plus air dry) where you can adjust the heat settings. I dry all my clothes on low for 60 minutes and unfortunately that means I have to always run it twice. Wish you could do a sensor setting on low. The noise and vibration is pretty loud honestly, but I knew that you get what you paid for so I wasn't really that bothered by anything that I just mentioned.

The biggest problem however, is that the lint trap is THE MOST inconvenient and unthought out feature that I have ever seen on an appliance. When you take the filter out and clean it, little bits and pieces of lint stick to the outer rim that are very tedious to get off. Fine, whatever. Not a huge deal. But there's all sorts of little crevices and pieces of metal for pieces of lint to get caught and stuck in and with the opening being about an inch wide it's impossible to get them out without using a tweezers. Today after having the dryer for about 6 months or so, I realized just how deep that lint trap is—IT'S VERY DEEP AND IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAN OUT. I clean that thing out (or try too) before every load, and I just looked down into there with a flashlight and the amount of buildup down there is insane and I genuinely have no clue how I am going to get it out.

Maybe it's just me, I was used to having a dryer from the 90s that worked forever and the lint trap wasn't such a pain to clean out every time. But I don't think they gave the design for this lint trap any thought before approving the design and going ahead with it.

Excuse me while I find something that I can makeshift into working for cleaning this ridiculous thing out!! DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The most HORRIBLE lint trap of all time!!

My dryer worked for about 10 loads. Dealing with LG has been absolutely a challenge of my sanity.
We FINALLY got a repair man to come and it was the delicate igniter. Now we wait another 10 days for part and another appointment for repair. The repairman was was good, and I have no complaints about him. I do NOT want email sent to me or calls from Chatbot or AI !!!
