Bought 3 of these umbrellas and absolutely loved them but now one of them stopped going down. Tried everything from reprogramming the remote to cleaning the contacts. Still won't go down..

It's very difficult to manually disconnect the cord to get the umbrella to close.

We called both the Support and Warranty phone numbers but neither have returned our calls..

I really love these umbrellas but not good if they won't close.

Stopped working in 6 months

Bought this umbrella at a great price. it worked great for the first 1 1/2 months but stopped opening and closing past two weeks. I read how to troubleshoot the issue, and it opened once and got stuck again. If it came with a crank as an alternative in such cases, I would have kept it but instead I returned it today. I am sure the one you buy will eventually have the same issues. Great idea bad product. Do yourself a big favor and just buy a cheaper umbrella and crank it open and closed.

Umbrella will become useless

I wrote a review about this, but somehow it didn't show up in the review posts.
So trying again. BUYER BEWARE. It stopped working after 2 months, and you can not reach customer service.
It worked great when it did, and it says you have a warranty, but you can not use it because you can not get in touch with them. If this does not convince you not to buy. Do yourself a favor: before you buy, try calling the customer service number 1-888-889-8320. You will see for yourselves. Also email customer support you will get nothing back

BUYER BEWARS

Great invention…poor execution. Never worked properly…had significant wind on several different occasions and it never closed. The final icing on the cake occurred this past weekend when I had to close it so it was not damaged by our tree trimmers. It would not close. Stop functioning altogether. After troubleshooting for 90 minutes I called customer service at manufacture…was placed on hold for more than 30 minutes…gave up and asked for a call back. Received call back and was told I would receive an email in 5-10 minutes with advice on how to resolve issues. NEVER received email. I gave up…problem is I could not close the darn umbrella to return. I finally cut the rope so I could close it. Brought is back to Sam's for a full refund. In the process I stained my close and the trunk of my car…the blue colored fabric on the umbrella is bleeding off!
For $450 this product is an absolute joke!!!

Beware…DO NOT BUY!

I really liked this umbrella, until it got stuck in open position. To fix, you had to actually reach at the top to loosen tightened pulley ropes. I had to take completely down to try and fix. If the manufacturer can somehow add a crank at the middle of umbrella to loosen when umbrella got stuck up, I would purchase again. Also, the ability to charge solar by using a charger method is another problem. The plug in is at the very top of the umbrella and difficult to get at. I had ordered two 11 foot and two 8 foot umbrellas and had to return all due to these problems.

Very disappointed.

Great umbrella for the 2 months it lasted. Put it up and it would not come back down. Plus it never did automatically close itself with high winds even though we calibrated it per the manual. When I contacted the mfg. they said I would have to ship it back to them at my expense, if they determined it was a warranty covered repair they would repair with refurbished parts and if it could not be fixed they would replace with a refurbished umbrella. I don't think so! So instead I returned it and was given a full refund. Back to hand cranking and happy to do so.

Convenient but not worth it

Quit working after about 2 months Pricey umbrella but I am certainly not impressed . Wish there was a way to get in touch with Sam's about this situation. I would really like a refund.

Quit working

Purchased 4, one came broken. Set up the other 3, the wind sensors do not drop them, yes we calibrated them many times. Took an outdoor blower to the wind sensors, they only dropped on high and not every time. Defeats the purpose of having them. The poles are too small to support the 11' foot umbrellas. The concept is great! The umbrellas themselves are nice but if they don't automatically drop in the wind it's not worth having. One quit dropping by the remote, my husband found at the pole itself was broken. Figured it was from the wind and to small of a pole, not sure. Not worth the price paid. They're going back.

Nope, great concept poor execution from company.

Very disappointed in this product, it is cheaply made, the canvas you can see through it. You have to use a USB-C charger. You have to take the top mechanism off on the 11' high umbrella in order to do that
It is overpriced for what you're getting. There is no quality to it. There was nothing in the description to define the quality of the canvas and what you have to do to charge it.

The review isn't allowing me to submit the photos where you can clearly see through the canvas

MUST READ before Purchasing

Lovely umbrella but it quit working and is locked in the open position after 2 months!

Nice but quit after 2 months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Living in the desert, we are always searching for shade! The Above Height Series 11 is the best ever!!! We are enjoying the outdoors in the shade. It was easy to assemble…but be sure to scan all the directions before setup. It weighs approximately 20 pounds and is H 102in x W 108in x D 108in. The fantastic features of the solar panel, wind sensor, LED light and remote control need a little preplanning. The solar simply charges by the sun or a micro-USB charging port. The wind sensor has three speeds: 13, 17 or 21 mph. The LED light provides a soft glow for a little brighter than a moonlight effect for a romantic conversation or dinner. The remote control provides an option for the off and on of the light and the open and close of the umbrella. I love the wind sensor feature which closes the umbrella before you find yourself going out in a sandstorm to close the umbrella. The soft light provides illumination without any cords. The umbrella is made of Sunbrella fabric. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this great quality umbrella!
