Member's Mark USDA Prime Beef Strip Steak, priced per pound

Leaner than a ribeye with a good amount of marbling, these beefy cuts of strip steak feature a tight, firm texture that once cooked is quite tender with the perfect amount of chew. Our strip steaks are cut towards the rear short loin primal of the steer for the most tender cut possible. Easy to cook at home, strip steak is known for its juiciness, texture and flavor, making it a popular cut at high-end steakhouses and upscale hotels. Hand-cut in Club, our strip steaks are hand-selected from grain-fed cattle for quality and optimal marbling. With a USDA Prime rating, the highest grade possible, these high-quality cuts of strip steak are guaranteed to have superior marbling, texture and taste. To cook these cuts of beef, add your favorite seasoning or marinade and they're ready for the grill. Strip steaks also taste great when pan-fried in a skillet or broiled. If you enjoy cutting your own steaks, Sam's has a whole strip loin Cryovac available. Interested in selling strip steak in your restaurant? Take a trip to your local Club and ask a meat associate about case prices.
Member’s Mark Made Without Commitment™
This item meets our Member’s Mark Made Without Commitment™: Our Member’s Mark Made Without Commitment makes it easier to know what is not in our products, so members can feel better about what is. Prime—other groceries don't carry. If other groceries in the area carry prime meat it is unbelievably expensive and somehow just not as good. Sam's meat is as good as the upscale butchers in the area. Great value, it's priced below what other groceries charge when they have really great sales.

Good price, rarely saw prime for under $20

Steak Night Sunday, good price

I LIKE SHOPPING AT SAMS , I GET A GOOD DEAL ON MANY ITEMS EVERY TIME I SHOP, THE LAST TRIP I ONLY BOUGHT A FEW ITEMS, ALONG WITH SOME GAS. THE GAS PRICES WENT UP THE THE HIGHEST THIS SUMMER IN JUST A FEW DAYS,

SHOPPING AT SAMS

We've acquired a taste for Prime steak since Sam's started carrying it. We used to buy the Choice rib-eyes but the price got so high we decided to try the Prime strip steaks in the same price range. The trade -off is texture and flavor with smaller fat lines (Prime strip) vs. slightly lower price,(rib-eye) with bigger fat lines that can be tough on the edges. Prime strip wins!

Cut or grade?

I buy Prime beef all the time . It always amazes me that grading beef is not the same as serving and eating the beef I have Had outstanding prime and I have also had Prime that had me mumbling HOW DID I PAY PRIME $$ for this terrible shoe leather. THIS steak was great not a 10 but I got my money worth on this cut . I just wish it was consistent in quality. Using the same providers is key I think staying with the same farm producer. is helpful.

Hit Or Miss

I only purchase prime NY Strip, when I buy steak. However the last couple of steaks we have had had a lot of grizzle in the middle of the steak. In my opinion these were not prime cut! Unfortunately this Sam's only displays a very small quantity.

Prime NY Strips

We bought these labeled prime NY strips. They are members mark prime. That is not the same as USDA prime. I find this labeling misleading. The steaks were tough after cooking medium rare. Very disappointing. This is the second time I have paid for what I thought was premium beef and been disappointed.

steaks

These steaks were HORRIBLE! They was more gristle than meat! Absolutely the worst I’ve ever had and I’ve eaten a lot of NYS steaks! I got them because there is nothing better than a NYS cooked outside on the grill while camping. I left them outside for the birds and raccoons. I spent my hard earned money on them to just throw them out!

Worst NY Strip Ever

Second time ordering Prime steaks and unhappy with quality. Both times ordered had a lot of veining in meat and was a bit tough. Had to discard 1/3 of steak.

Prime not so prime

For the very first time the quality of the steaks was not up to par. I purchase their Prime Steak often and this time it was very chewy, stingy and gristly.

Meat not meeting expectation
