What’s not in this Member's Mark Pasture Raised Lamb + Brown Rice Recipe? This recipe has no added corn, soy or wheat, as well as no added artificial flavors or colors.† Which Life Stage is this Member's Mark Dog Food recommended for? Member's Mark Pasture Raised Lamb + Brown Rice Recipe Dry Dog Food is for All Life Stages and can be fed to dogs of any age, size, or breed including puppies and large sized dogs. Where is Member’s Mark Pasture Raised Lamb + Brown Rice Recipe Dry Dog Food made? All Member's Mark Dry Dog Food is made here in the USA with locally and globally sourced ingredients.
Transitioning
How much dry dog food does my pup need? To make it easy to measure out, you can use an 8-oz. container for each cup of food and use the handy guide on the back of the bag with feeding suggestions by weight. Dogs have different calorie requirements based on their age, activity level and lifestyle. Feed to maintain an ideal lean body condition and work with your veterinarian to determine an appropriate weight and adjust feeding amounts as necessary. Remember to keep plenty of fresh water available to your pet at all times. How do I properly transition? Transitions should be gradual, so start by reducing the amount of the current diet and increasing the amount of the new diet for 7-10 days until complete. For dogs with a sensitive stomach, up to 14 days of transition may be necessary. This allows sensitive tummies to adjust to the new ingredients. If you notice their stool become too soft or watery, slow the transition until your dog can adjust. This can sometimes take an additional few days at the current ratio. Days 1-2: 25% New Food Days 3-4: 50% New Food Days 5-6: 75% New Food Days 7-10: 100% New Food How long will the food last once I have opened the bag? After opening, dry dog food typically lasts up to 6-8 weeks. To support prolonged freshness, you may place the bag in an air-tight, food-safe storage container. Always store in a cool, dry place and avoid excess heat or moisture.
FAQ
My dog just threw up after eating? Many dogs may have sensitive tummies during transitions and others just get so excited over their new food that they eat too quickly. Make sure to follow the longer transition and feeding guidelines to ease the change. However, please contact your veterinarian about any major concerns. I noticed my dog’s stool looks different? When transitioning foods, it is normal to have some changes in your pup’s stool. Some dogs may get diarrhea due to a fast transition. Others may have softer or larger stools or the color may be different. Make sure to follow the longer transition time to ease the change. Over time your dog’s stool quality should improve as they adjust to the new diet. However, please contact your veterinarian about any major concerns. How do probiotics and prebiotic fiber improve kibble? Prebiotics are specialized types of fiber that move through the digestive tract, creating energy for the good bacteria in your dog’s gut. This can help the beneficial gut bacteria thrive. Probiotics are the beneficial bacteria that help maintain the proper balance of bacteria in the digestive tract and support the digestion process, and more. Prebiotic fiber and probiotics work together to support a healthy gut microbiome. Keep in mind that while probiotics are beneficial, some dogs may experience fleeting digestive changes such as loose stools or gas when first receiving probiotics in their diet, but this should improve as they adjust just like we humans do! I had to buy this dog food and a pinch because Sam’s was out out of our regular salmon grain free dog food. While this particular type of food did not work out for us Sam’s did an amazing job of exchanging and allowing us to get what our girlie needed.

Great Policies

My 4 dogs thrive on this food. They sleep well. Have great energy and vitality and their coats are glossy. I rotate the recipes so they benefit from the different proteins. The added ingredients like glucosamine chondriton are brilliant! I have 2 German shepherds and 2 jumbo labradoodles whose ages span from 2-10 years old. I really appreciate such a well balanced kibble for such a reasonable price. Thank you Sam's!

Not a second thought about feeding…

my girls friends dogs have been spoiled. one will eat anything the second is very picky. second does eat it but sometimes does not eat at all, it did it with all brands of food but GF will blame it on the food he is eating. she put little ceasars in and the second dog wants it all the time. forget it DOG, you dont pay the bills and your 65lbs..

spoiled dogs want treats

Dogs loves it, no gas, she gets so excited when we bring home a new bag. She was having a hard time with Iams and purina and then we tried this and it's her favorite with little to no issues.

Best food out there

Changed my dogs food to this when one of my Dauchsands starting rejecting the Members Mark Salmon. Mixed the lamb with Salmon until just lamb. None of my five dogs had a problem with the change and are doing great with it. I love the size of it with my small dogs.

Excellent

My pups have always eaten Hills Science Diet Dog Food. I recently had trouble with my Chewy account so was forced to buy dog food elsewhere. I was pleasantly surprised to see that my pups like this Lamb and Rice dog food. Stools are still solid and no foul smell. They have only eaten it for one week but so far, so good. I would recommend.

Lamb and Rice comparable to Hills

It used to be very good, but … they changed their ingredients recently. I’m very picky and I study every ingredients because my dog is allergic to all poultry meat. It used to be no chicken and no poultry so I used to buy it all the time, until I noticed the change and now chicken meal is the second ingredient on the list. Very disappointing! I’m giving 2 stars because my dogs really liked this food but I don’t like how ingredients were changed without any notice. My dog would have really bad wounds and infection because of this change, hopefully I check it regularly and I noticed a change before I bought new package. Disappointing from the brand and I won’t buy it again.

They change ingredients

I have been buying this brand for a long time and it is sometimes out of stock without any notice. It seems to be a decent food and my dogs like it. I have six dogs of different breeds.
Unfortunately this bag had some type of moldy substance in it so I had to return it. This is the only time this is ever happened But now I am watching the Food more closely.

My six dogs like this food

Love the food brand but this particular one I wish was labeled more accurately! My dog is Allergic to chicken, I had bought the lamb food just to try it out this time and my dog has unfortunately started to have a reaction… I had no idea why until 4 days after feeding her the food and looking at the back ingredients luckily I still had the bag.

There’s still chicken in the food!

Sorry our dog didnt like it and didnt want to eat or had to force it down because she was hungry. Then she would have the runs no regular hard poop. Had to switch to something else. Wish Sams would have diffrent tÿps of dog and cat food not alot but more options

Not that good
