Winter was relatively dry, with limited rainfall only partially replenishing reservoirs and soil moisture. Overall spring and early summer were warm and relatively trouble free. The heat turned up in late August and early September accelerating ripening, bringing a rapid and fast-paced start to harvest. Our inaugural La Crema Cabernet Sauvignon vintage resulted in riper red and blue fruit characteristics.

Vinification Comments

Estate vineyards in the Alexander Valley offer some of the redder, darker, and more dense tannins in the blend. With the composition of other mountain and valley vineyards, blended with Merlot helping to add riper and softer fruit expressions to provide wine length and balance. Blocks, varieties, and clones are kept separate until final blending to allow the greatest range of expression and blending options.

Company History

La Crema was established in 1979 to showcase exceptional wines from the best cool-climate regions across California and Oregon. Since the beginning, our vision has been to produce artisanal wines with distinct qualities: delicious to drink, uncompromised craftsmanship, and sustainably farmed. Our home in Sonoma County, California ignited our passion for coastal, single-vineyard sites. We knew the quality the region could offer, so we focused our efforts on exploring new sites and sharing their unique terroirs. Today, Sonoma County is celebrated as a world-class wine region.

Sustainability and Diversity

We measure La Crema’s success by how many people enjoy our wines and the positive impact we make in our communities. The ethos of La Crema is to never compromise—whether it’s the wines we make, the people we hire, or the issues we support. We’re proud of our industry-leading commitment to sustainable farming practices and uplifting underrepresented voices while honoring their individuality. Our investment in diversity and inclusion efforts continues to grow year over year as we embrace each opportunity to make a real difference. It’s always been about delivering the highest quality experience, inspiring real connections with real people, and pairing it all with a passion for life. (This is wine after all!)

Delicious

I need to remember not to buy this wine again. There’s a sharpness that cuts through the otherwise pleasant taste. It’s not exactly a sour flavor, more of an acidic quality. The moment I tasted it this time I remembered having had this same sub previously. For the price the white is a serious disappointment.

Mediocre for The Price

la crema sonoma county cabernet sauvignon wine, 750 ml centered front-facing 750 ml bottle with cream label, red triangular accent and red foil capsule, dark glass bottle; medium-to-full body Cabernet from Sonoma County, certified sustainable, tasting notes of dark fruit and toasted spice, pairs well with red meat or cheddar and suitable for gifting or small gatherings.
