We wanted to replace our current fridge before it was necessary. Also, since the pandemic we have been slowly changing our appliances from white to stainless steel. While looking for a replacement we (the hubby) had in mind a bottom mount fridge with a single door (a challenge because French doors have become the norm. We also asked family & friends what they thought of their refrigerator choices, our daughter & our neighbour both recommended we go with LG! When the fridge arrived I was very happy to see it, my husband has been my caregiver for the past 6 weeks and watching him load the fridge was great, he loves the produce draws, the meat & cheese draw, and the depth of the freezer. 
The ice maker while not a huge part of the decision is a great addition. So far we are truly happy with our choice!

It is very large, so I can store everything I need. The controls are easy to understand and use.  The shelves are easily adjustable to store taller items on the top shelf.  I was also able to easily set up the Smart Diagnostics with the LG app on my mobile phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Yes,I know it sounds absurd to say “I fell in love with my refrigerator “ but it’s pretty darn close to the truth.   My LG refrigerator is stainless steel and it looks absolutely beautiful in my kitchen. It is roomier than any refrigerator I’ve ever owned end it has brought a smile to my face every time I open it up and see the enormity inside. Plus the fact that my food is colder than ever…my freezer keeps the food solid and no ice crystals forming.  I have recently updated my kitchen and this is a beautiful addition to it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had the fridge for about 8 weeks now - and it's working fine. I miss that the shelves are not split but it's something I can get used to. The overall noise level is very low, but every now and then the compressor gets really noisy for 5 minutes and then everything is back to a low-level humming noise (you can't notice if there's a conversation, you'll only notice when everything is silent).

I bought this 2 years ago and love it.  I am absolutely quite pleased with the great customer service I received when I started to have a problem. The representatives and techs were on top of everything.  Both LG and Sharper Images were excellent.  Follow up from both were great.  This sort of customer service should be an example of how it should be done. Thank you.

Beautiful refrigerator

I got this refrigerator as a backup for a failing main refrigerator that could not be replaced for months due to supply chain issues. It is located in guest casita. Now that I have the kitchen refrigerator replaced, it is now mainly a drinks refrigerator, with extra food freezer space in the bottom. This is the biggest capacity fridge I have ever had. Love it. My only criticism is that the shelves in the upper/refrigerator part are not as strong as they could be. There is a slight sag in any shelf with heavier items on it. Granted these are canned and bottled beverages so probably heavier than most things.

I bought this in the late summer of 2020. I like the space and it worked well for 2 years. Well, it stopped suddenly a few weeks ago. Pretty sure it’s the compressor, but of course not one of the ones on the recall list. Timing was perfect since we just went grocery shopping and froze much of our produce from our garden…… lost basically everything. Prior to this moment I had no complaints. Hoping to get it fixed soon.

The refridgerator is great, but the noise it makes upon startup is not!  The fridge makes a loud banging noise when it starts.  I've inquired via chat with LG, but I guess we just have to live with it because that's just how this fridge is.  I'm sorry I didn't pick a different brand.  =(
