[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I switched to Fresh Step Heavy Duty from another cat litter brand and noticed a big difference right away. It creates much LESS dust, which I really appreciate, especially when cleaning the litter box.
I like how well it controls odors. I have 3 cats, so good odor control is very important in my home, and this litter does a much better job at keeping things fresh.

With four cats in my home, odor control is a *must*, and this litter handled it better than I expected. It keeps things smelling fresh for much longer, and the clumping makes cleanup quick and easy.

The only downside? The box is heavy. You might need an extra set of hands when lifting or pouring, especially if you’re restocking.

Overall, if you’re dealing with multiple cats or just want something reliable that actually controls odor, this one is definitely worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great, high quality cat litter that works great and virtually eliminates any litter box smells altogether! It’s nicely fragranced, a little goes a long way, and I can go longer between removing some of the dirty litter and adding new. The litter allows waste to form tight clumps that are easy to remove with a litter scoop. I keep a small flip top garbage can with a trash can liner in it that I scoop the clumps into. It’s sealed around the top when the lid’s closed so you can’t smell anything coming from it - I simply fill that up until it’s at the maximum weight of waste that I can comfortably carry out to our dumpster, then put a new liner in the can and start the process again.  I’m sorry I couldn’t include a pic of my cat in or next to the litter box. There wasn’t an opportunity for that when I was home, awake or had my phone with or near me. But, a pic of her is included. She is a 12 year old female, almost 13, and is pickier about her litter as she ages. I highly recommend this great working and smelling litter for your cat waste needs! I received this incentivized product in exchange for my honest review.

It clumped perfectly, making it easier to clean. And the odor blocker truly does work, couldn’t even tell a cat lived here. Really not much dust like you’d notice with other brands. Fresh step heavy duty odor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It clumps well and controls odor better than a lot of other litters I’ve tried. It’s especially helpful if you have more than one cat. 

The litter forms solid clumps that are easy to scoop. The main downside is that it can be a little dusty when pouring, and like most clay litters, it can track outside the box a bit. But overall, it’s a reliable option if odor control is one of your top concerns.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already use Fresh Step brand but I had not tried this type before. I do not see a reason to swap to this type. I typically use the extreme scented and honestly I could not tell much of a difference at all. Fresh Step is great at masking odors. The first day this type seemed like it masked them less but a couple of days later I did realize there was not a strong odor any more. This was easy to pour even if it is a little heavy like most cat litter is. I prefer to buy them that come in the 4 pack of bags instead of the box because it makes them easier to lift and pour. It clumps great just like the other types I have used and makes cleaning the litter box as pleasant as possible. I think I was actually able to go a day or 2 more than normal with this type.

The litter has a clean appearance with a slightly coarse texture that forms solid clumps for easy scooping. Performance is reliable, helping control odors and keep the litter box fresh. The scent is noticeable but not overpowering, giving a light, clean smell overall.

Good cat litter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fresh  Step Heavy Duty cat litter uses  Odor Shield granules & Febreze fragrance to control odor. 

The clay absorbs moisture, forming tight clumps that are easy to scoop. If you like fragrance & don't mind clay give this kitty litter a try.  It's not completely dust Free. I prefer a non scented litter for myself & furbaby.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging is nice and easy to open, my issue that gives it an automatic 1 star rating is that when I poured it into the litterbox, a fine powder rose up and permeated the entire floor of our house, it irritated my nose, gave me a headache, and essentially smelled like a cross between a dust storm and pure talcum powder. It was beyond overkill. I’m debating if it’s even a nice thing to do to donate the rest to an animal shelter because I don’t want to subject the volunteers and animals to this.
