This half-sheet cake was made & decorated exactly as ordered. It was on point moist (marble) and not overly sweet with bettercream rather than buttercream. The writing on it was truly lovely and complimented the color photo that was provided. (Although Sam’s, you really should allow an upload of a photo with the order please, as I had to take a print to the store, which is silly given all the technology we have.) Served with fresh strawberries, it was perfect. Oh, and at a great price to boot. Thanks, Sam’s Kingston NY.

Beautiful & delicious! Great price.

The cake itself was beautiful and delicious!  Here is the problem!!! There is not enough space to put exactly what I wanted on the cake and you can't order in store.  I wanted a SMALL emblem of the Air Force on the cake and a larger Congratulations on your Retirement lettering.  The emblem took up most of the space on the cake!  Please, Please increase the amount of characters you can put when giving directions on what we want on the cake.

Amazing cake, but.......

I used to love Sam's club cakes, but must admit, they're not as good as they used to be. The cake was not as moist and the chocolate buttercream was not as good as the vanilla cream. It's still a good value but not as good as it used to be. For the first time, we actually had too much leftover.

Cake missed the mark

Name was incorrect. The name they put on cake was Nora. The correct name is Nova. When we arrived at pick up time to pick up cake. no one was at counter, found an employee which didn’t work in bakery.  She was able to find cake.

Inaccurate spelling

I don’t like having to order online. There aren’t enough options to make it truly customizable. I couldn’t put any decorations on the cake because none of the options fit the color scheme I needed. The writing on the cake was not good. I used to get all my cakes from Sam’s and will now be going elsewhere.

Not really customizable

Cake flavor was on point as always. The decorating though was seriously lacking. The cake was white icing with teal trim. The writing on the cake was then also in white. So as you can guess white on white could not really be seen and looked ridiculous. Picked up on my way to granddaughter’s 4th bday, names were mixed up on the orders they had my name on cake and my husbands name on cupcakes. I did not have time when picking up to see if it could be fixed.

Birthday Cake 😭😂

The cake was delicious and looked beautiful except for the writing on a white icing cake.  The color white was used to write Happy 80th Birthday......  I did not choose that color and it was almost unreadable.  If it came through as white writing, I would have thought someone would have called me regarding the color of the text.

Delicious with a significant glitch!

The cake was poorly decorated with uneven lettering, a misshaped cake and it appeared that the person that decorated it either rushed through the job, or no one was looking over finished work. I was embarrassed to put this cake out at our daughter's adoption celebration and honestly felt Sam's should bave been embarrassed to allow something so poorly done to leave. The bakery manager was too busy to speak to me, but the store manager did at least refund my money. When I asked for them to redo another cake, I was told it would be an hour, which I thought was another example of unsatisfactory customer service. I can't imagine that I will ever order another cake from Sam's bakery again, or if i do, it will be a long time. This experience has left me very disappointed.

Disappointed bakery customer.

This cake was not at all what I expected from Sam’s. I’ve ordered several cakes in the past and have always been satisfied, but this one was disappointing by comparison. I was unhappy with the appearance, particularly the border—it looked rushed and poorly assembled.

Not Up to Sam’s Usual Standards

Our Sam’s Club went to online ordering for cakes. Design choices are very limited but ordered a cake and chose a design on their website that was an option. When the cake was picked up, the design wasn’t even close to the design that we chose. After speaking to an employee in the bakery, her response was we can scrape the frosting off and redo it. We didn't choose to do that because if they couldn’t decorate it correctly the first time, we couldn’t imagine what the cake would look like after having the frosting scraped off. 

We were celebrating two birthdays that day and taking this cake to the party was absolutely embarrassing. Since Sam’s Club has gone to this online ordering, we will now have to get our cakes elsewhere. So sad as we have been using them for years.
