Pretty awesome play set.  I opted to do the assembly myself.  It was a lot bigger than it looked in the picture.  The instructions say 18 hours for 2 people.  I probably invested 60 total hours for leveling the ground and assembly the play set.  It is delivered in 4 large, very long, and very heavy boxes along with the slide.  You will need help moving those.  The instructions are very detailed and you can use the BILT app, which I had used before for installing a new toilet.  I recommend taking the time to sort through all the boxes and checking off the packing lists before you start to ensure you have all the pieces.  My kids absolutely love it!! Made for a great Christmas present!!

Awesome playground

My kids (3 and 2) kept saying, “thank you daddy for building my playhouse.”  We try to keep out kids outside as much as possible away from screens, and in the Texas summer heat, this wood playground was our best option.  My husband spent a few days putting it together mostly by himself.  It was pretty labor intensive, but it was well worth it.

Communication with BYD was excellent.
The equipment is solid.
The assembly took longer than expected & yet the technicians were diligent & exceptionally polite.
Highly recommend the Woodridge Elite wooden swingset. Our 5 little gran children love it & so do we!

Highly recommend the Backyard Discovery Playset

We bought this for our 2 kids, ages 2 & 6 (size of an 8 year old) in the hopes it would be big enough for my oldest to play on. He's very tall for his age so a lot of times we run into him being to big for things like this but this swingset is perfect and he still has plenty of room to grow! It took my husband about 40 hours total to put together with minimal help (mostly me supervising and handing him things here and there) but it's definitely doable by yourself. We used the instructions on the app and it made it so easy to follow! 100% would recommend this! Our kids couldn't be happier!

This playground brings a lot of enjoyment and fun to my children, upon arrive it was packaged in three boxes. I had opened all three and re arranged each piece of wood to make it easier on myself to assemble.  I took my time assembling the play ground which took me about a week to complete.  My children enjoy secret tunnel and balcony area.  They also enjoy hanging  out in the little house. I reenforced the balcony with two weather treated 2x4s. The playground wood is treated. I would recommend this playground to my friends, it just takes some time to build. I purchased this during the pandemic in 2020 and had enough time to marvel building this for my children. I guarantee they'll love it

MY KIDS LOVE THIS PLAYGROUND!

The title is a testament to what this play set is up against (3 boys!!) It's our 1st playground investment because we spent years researching everything from safety & structure to age ranges & how it holds up with extreme weather. We've had it in direct sunlight all year long & through a hurricane without any issues. Our boys are different ages & all love it (infant- we added a baby swing, toddler & 8 yrs old) we thought the playset would quickly lose its appeal to them but here we are a year later & they play on it every single day as if it were new! We even decorate it for holidays because it really is an awesome club house :) underneath it stays nice and cool, every inch gets used! 10/10 recommend

This play set is amazing! It's pretty darn big and was not that hard to put together. There are a few pieces that are missing from the parts list they provide, but with knowledge of using a tape measure and the photo they provide of the piece you'll he fine. There were a couple of damaged/warped pieces but it was not to much of a set back since santa is bringing them the playset tomorrow morning I made due with what I had and will be getting those replaced after. It took me and a neighbor about 13 hours and I know my way around building material. In all fairness it got dark on us the last 5 hours of the first day so that Took a little longer. This was an amazing addition to our backyard and I'm so excited to see my kids face tomorrow morning, thanks for the great product Backyard Discovery!!!!

Beautiful playset

The parts went together well and the final product is great! It's perfect for our 1 year old to grow into, and for the older neighborhood kids to play on all together.  It took my husband  about 2 weeks to put up around his quarantine work-from-home schedule. The swing hinges are very squeaky and a few of the boards cracked during install.

End product turned out great!

If you are familiar with other reviews on BD playsets, then this one will be no different.  The set arrived relatively quickly considering the size of the deliver (5 boxes weighing 150lbs each) and during the pandemic.  One box did arrive damaged however and some pieces inside of it were damaged, but ultimately were still decent enough to assemble.  Assembly took us probably a total of three days whole, but this is tyring to do it with kids around.  Instructions were thorough all though some of the pictures make it hard to see where the fasteners are located.  A BIG suggestion like others is to organize every board and screw beforehand.  This is the only way to attempt the build without going insane.  We even bought plastic bowls and organized all the screws by labeling the bowls for easy identification.  Kids are super happy with it and have received a lot of compliments from our neighbors.  Would definitely recommend.  Just be prepared for a decent amount of time organizing all the components first.

A little patience will yield an amazing Playset

Our order came minus one of the boxes and we have been trying since the 24th of May to get the missing box. We traveled an hr to our grandsons today to put the set together, BUT, needlessly to say with 1 box missing, we were not able to assemble it. There were 10 family members that went to help put this set together, now, my grandson is going to have to find others to help with this WHEN the missing box does get delivered.  I will never order another thing from Sam's club because of such a big disappointment. Our great granddaughter was looking forward to having her play set put together today. What will Sam's do to right this Giant error??????
