Artskills charcoal kit is a great kit for beginners to intermediate charcoal artists.  It has everything needed and will help a new artist explore.

I think it is a good value for a sketch kit.     It has many pieces which appear good quality.   I won’t know till I use it as if they are pencils that break off constantly.   I had pencils that look great and fail.

Good value

My granddaughter found this fun.  She enjoyed all the different charcoals, pencils, erasers and blenders that came with this kit.  The tablet is the only thing I wouldn't rate 5 star.  It is a very small sketch pad with few pages.  Otherwise, this is great.

Great tools, small sketch pad

This set was purchased for a Grandson. He has good natural talent, but lacked the basic supplies. This set was part of seperate items I purchased elsewhere for him. The range of lead pencils is adequate as a sampler. Be aware that the set comes with just four colored, hard charcoal sticks. It would have been nice if a few soft charcoal sticks in compatable colors were included.
This set will introduce the beginner to some of the different forms of charcoal used and tools that help to achieve the desired shading and blending for a completed work.
All in all, it comes in a slim, metal case that is easily stored with helpful pictorial examples of what each item represents for the beginner.

For young artists and beginners.

Two of the three packages were damaged/deformed due to poor packing (with wrapping paper only and no additional protection). Even worse was that the FedEx deliveryman just threw the package on the ground, even though I was in his sight. I bought these as a gift for my friends, and now I have to return them.

The tin shell was damaged and the inner plastic trays that hold the supplies were damaged. If you're gifting this, I would not recommend it.

Product Damage

My package is damaged. The tin storage box for storing art supplies that came in the box has a huge dent in it. 
I will say everything I ordered from Walmart for Christmas was everything I knew it would be great, except for my last purchase. I'm so disappointed in the shape it came in.
